🐾 Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful information about how Kittie Kare works.

How does your cat‑sitting service work?

Each visit is calm, structured, and tailored to your pet’s routine. I provide feeding, litter cleaning, playtime, medication (if required), and a written update with photos.

Will my cat meet you before the first booking?

Yes — I always arrange a complimentary meet‑and‑greet at your home to discuss routines, preferences, and any special needs before confirming your booking.

How long is each visit?

Each visit lasts around 30 minutes. Clients can choose one visit per day or add a second visit if preferred.

Do you look after other small pets?

Absolutely. I also care for small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and gerbils — each visit is adapted to their needs.

How do reports work?

Reports are provided per visit. Clients booking two visits per day may choose to receive a report after each visit or one combined report after the second visit.

Are you insured and DBS‑checked?

Yes — Kittie Kare Pet Services is fully insured and DBS‑checked for your peace of mind.

What happens if my cat needs veterinary attention?

If a health concern arises, I’ll contact you immediately and, if necessary, take your cat to your registered vet or the nearest available practice.

Do you offer a key‑holding service?

Yes — many of my clients choose to leave a key with me for future bookings. Keys are labelled without personal details and stored securely in a locked location when not in use.

How do you ensure my home is secure during visits?

Your home is treated with the same care and respect as your pets. Doors are double‑checked on arrival and before leaving, alarms are set as instructed, and blinds or lights can be adjusted to help your home look lived‑in while you’re away. Only the areas needed for your pet’s care are accessed.

What happens if my return is delayed?

If you’re delayed returning home, just let me know as soon as possible. I can extend your booking and continue visits until you’re back, ensuring your cats remain safe, fed, and settled. Any additional visits will be added to your booking, and the balance should be paid within 48 hours of your return.

When do I pay for my booking?

Once I have confirmed availability for your dates, payment is recommended as soon as possible to secure your booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received, and unpaid slots may be offered to other clients. For full details, please see the Terms and Conditions page.

Can I book regular visits?

Of course. Many clients book ongoing weekly or holiday schedules. I’ll help you set up a plan that suits your routine.
